really wants me to get into falconary but unfortuantly i wouldnt know where to start .

 

dumb question time :

 

1. why do you keep going on about flying weight (wont they fly if too heavy or fukk off if too light? )

 

2. do you need a licence ?

 

3. who taught you , just going out with others i presume?

it dose seem a lot to take in from when you want to start out, but i suggest you get your self a good book to read over the Xmas hols some thing like emma ford or the Dr Nic Fox's book http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/falconry-bird-book-b...1QQcmdZViewItem

have a good read and try find out some one close to you to tag along ( ask if you can do the ferrets for them they will snap you up on the offer no dout )

my best advice to you ,is to get out with someone for a season or two,you can't learn it any better ,thats how i started many years ago ,i used to ferrat for my mates female harris hawk, dont get me wrong, books are good as a guide,nothing else ....hope this helps you on your way ,and your right when you start, it's a buzz different to any other

yep , i'm going to try and find someone round my way to tag along with , seems you have to be mega dedicated which isnt a problem but like you said i will leave for a couple of seasons before making my mind up .
